It’s my birthday today and I’m thanking God for another great year. Come July, I’ll celebrate 39 years as a Christian believer, and I promise you, it gets better every day.

The Lord is generous in providing so many open doors for ministry. Not just performance dates, although I’m thankful for those; but even more so, the opportunities to reach out to the hungry and troubled souls God sees fit to regularly bring along my path, all for the purpose of pointing them in His direction. All of us, simply by offering prayer, council and sometimes just a shoulder to cry on, can make such a difference in the lives of so many people. Let’s keep our “spiritual antennas" up, to be sure we’re making the most of each opportunity.

I’ll be heading to Michigan at the end of this month for a few engagements. First, on Thursday, February 23rd, I’ll be in the studio at WDEO Radio in Ann Arbor, as a guest on the “Notes from Above” radio program with Tom Loewe and Sister Sarah Burdick. It’s a great program which examines the intersection of music and faith. Our taping will air Sunday, the26th at 4:30pm (EST), and encored on Wednesday, the 29th at 9:00pm (EST).
