with his wife away it’s nice he’ll have someone around ‘Bout midnight when she pulls into her brother’s drive. Suzie the neighbor thinks it’s somethin’ strange Here’s Brady with some lady while his wife’s workin’ down in L.A. She’s thinkin’ maybe somethin’ ain’t right Oh so Suzie phones Lucy and Lucy phones Kim Kim, she calls her friend at the exercise gym, Her friend, he calls some people from the little church choir And Lord, this thing’s just burnin’ on fire. In really nothin’ more than just an hour or two Well Brady and the lady they’re the front page news When you fan a little flicker it burns to a flame It’s got eveybody talkin’ but no, they’ve got nothin’ to say. Suzie brews a little coffee, grabs a pillow and then She slowly pulls the shade aside just right and kinda settles on in Watches ‘til they turn out the light she says “Yeah, that lady’s spendin’ the night.” |
